21世紀のための住まう様式に、どのような展望があるのかを問うアイデア設計競技が、ユネスコから世界に向けて発信された。この計画では、臨海部における人々の日常生活が、産業のための施設によって海と分断されていることに着目し、その打開策として横浜港に突き出る7本の桟橋に、様々な "住まう" ための形式を提案した。詩的な世界の構築は、21世紀の楽園づくりを目指したものである。
